Darryle Hamlin, popularly known by his Fortnite username ‘Hamlinz’, is an American streamer and a professional esports player. Hamlinz started his career in 2013, i.e. at the age of 18, where he was pursuing esports while studying nursing at the same time. Later in 2015, he turned his passion for games into the full-time profession while playing RuneScapes and would stream his games on a variety of streaming channels such as Twitch and Youtube. He stopped studying nursing and started working as a delivery driver for seven hours during the day and as a professional gamer for the next 6 hours.
He gained ultimate fame when he started playing Fortnite when it was released in 2017. As soon as the game was released by Epic Games, he used to broadcast his games every day and help others understand how to play the game. Gradually, he started creating content where the audience would enjoy his hilarious comments while playing the game. Eventually, he started playing against the top professional players, this event led to him competing against Myth and being invited to join Team SoloMid. When Hamlinz started to stream for long hours and showcased a variety of gameplays, he started to gain popularity for his unique video content and was one of the few players who helped in increasing the popularity of the game.
Hamlinz has collaborated with Team SoloMid (TSM) team members and is known for broadcasting team play videos; his videos have inspired a lot of players to start their own team and to compete in major tournaments and championships. Hamlinz has 2.1 million followers for his Twitch account and has more than 25.8 million views for his broadcasted videos. He also has a YouTube channel where he has 1.3 million subscribers and has 78.8 million views for his videos uploaded in the channel.
