Who is Smooya and What Gear Smooya Uses?
Owen Butterfield, also popularly known as Smooya, is a British streamer and a professional esports player for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO). Smooya started his professional career in esports in 2016, i.e. at the age of 17. He started off by playing for the team CAZ eSports, which is the United Kingdom and Iceland based esports organisation known for CS: GO team. During the Pantamera 3.0 – June Qualifier tournament, Smooya won the 1st rank while playing for the team. Since then he was scouted by the best esports organisations and teams from across the globe including the current team Chaos Esports, a North American esports organisation.
Smooya has been playing for teams like Endpoint, Epsilon Esports, BIG, Chaos Esports and more. Endpoint previously known as Team Endpoint is a well-known esports organisation based in the United Kingdom and is known for having multi-game teams; these teams have won championships for various minor and major tournaments. Smooya also played for BIG which is one of the biggest gaming team in the European region, located in Berlin. This team is known for showcasing great skills in all tournaments and lead a magnificent game against their competitors. Currently, Smooya is playing for Chaos Esports after shifting from BIG, he signed the contract with Chaos during the month of January 2020 and is expected to participate in the upcoming major tournaments.
